Firefox ist nicht nur quelloffen und kostenlos, er ist auch noch ein ziemlich mächtiger Browser.

Wer zum Beispiel in seinem Browserverlauf suchen möchte, kann das machen, indem er ein ^ in die Adresszeile eintippt und dann den Suchbegriff anhängt.

  • Add ^ to search for matches in your browsing history.
  • Add * to search for matches in your bookmarks.
  • Add + to search for matches in pages you’ve tagged.
  • Add % to search for matches in your currently open tabs.
  • Add ~ to search for matches in pages you’ve typed.
  • Add # to search for matches in page titles.
  • Add @ to search for matches in web addresses (URLs).
  • Add $ to search for matches in suggestions.

Auf meinem Mac ist Safari immer noch der Standard, aber auf der Windowsbüchse greife ich lieber zu Firefox statt zu Chrome.
